The creation process starts with an actual photo, which is then digitally manipulated and brought onto the canvas using a collage technique. It's mainly about about racing cars from the 60s and 70s, the ones everybody knows and loves: Ford GT 40 and Porsche 356 at Le Mans Classic, Porsche 904, 917 or Jaguar E-Type at the Nurburgring and Ferraris at the Mille Miglia. ![]() Barcelona-based artist Markus Haub started his "Racing Legends" collection back in 2008. Not surprisingly though, he's one of us, a huge fan of design with an eye for the classic. ![]() However, we've discovered somebody who can perfectly combine art and cars in one painting. ![]() We don't blame them though, since what the eye perceives is scrutinized using years of experience gathered by any car aficionado. Many artists claim they can draw these classics, but very few actually do it right.
